Hey there!

I'm Becci Keegan. I am a freelance designer and illustrator living and working in Cardiff, Wales (UK). Nature inspired colours, texture, whimsy and Nordic themes often inform  my work. Recently that includes animals, florals, and other natural objects, but I like to draw the urban life (and my imagination!) just as much.

 

I have a background in Contemporary Textile Practice that includes traditional techniques like knitting, stitch and screen printing, as well as digital design and print.  I love seeing my work transferred to a variety of surfaces!

My work is stocked in The Sho Gallery & Shop, Cardiff, The Riverfront, Newport and also in Home By Kirsty, Cardiff.  I also sell at markets and fairs in my local area and I have an online shop called Hey There Bear Designs. I also sell through Society6. I have previously licensed some of my designs to be made into Kindle & tablet cases through Keka cases.

 

I studied my craft at Cardiff Metropolitan University (formally UWIC) where I also met some crazy creative people and learned some handy things. Since graduating in 2012, I have been developing my skills but I am always keen to learn something new!
